Steady Holiday is the project of LA based musician Dre Babinski. Her debut album, Under the Influence, is produced by Gus Seyffert (The Black Keys, Beck). She has played in many other bands over the years but this is her first solo record.

The album is pretty mellow affair, a mainly guitar based indie sound with a psychedelic French chanteuse edge and some nice song writing. Dre’s voice is gentle and upfront and you can definitely hear the influence of Gus Seyffert in the rhythm section production.

Favourite tracks: “Open Water”, “Your Version of Me”, “No Matter”, “Under the Influence”, “Superstar”.

A lovely slice of "Nouvelle Chanson" - that classic French sound but with a more modern pop style.

An intelligent alternative acoustic folky kind of feel with some nice strings and piano arrangements.

Slide guitars and banjos a plenty, but not clichéd or old fashioned, just really catchy modern tunes.
