A new Radiohead album is always a treat. I’ve been a big fan for years. A Moon Shaped Pool is their ninth studio album. If you like Radiohead you’ll love this album, if you don’t then nothing here is likely to change your mind.

There’s some great tracks on here and I’ll be listening to this a lot. Rhythmically, melodically, and lyrically interesting as we’ve come to expect from Radiohead – here’s some highlights…

The album starts with Burn the Witch is a great pop song with some con legno (playing with the wood of the bow) string arrangements – a spooky sound. Next up is Daydreaming – slow, complex, and beautiful. Another hightlight for me is Ful Stop – hypnotic, excellent. But the whole album is great, inventive and as refreshing as ever.

Radiohead have also recently released their unused theme for the Bond movie Spectre which is frankly much better than the one they went with!

Witty American style indie with an occasional more country sound. Great tunes with lots of subtle detail.
