Agnes Obel is a Danish singer/songwriter. Citizen Of Glass is her third album.

Among violins, cellos, harpsichords, spinet and celesta, Agnes Obel used, for the time, a very rare Trautonium – a delicate, metal-keyed synthesiser from the late 1920s.

It’s very beautiful, the metallic/precussive sounds of the different types of keyboards, piano and string arrangements, paired with Obel’s richly layered vocals.

There are ten tracks, two of them instrumentals. The album has a dreamy quality, somehow traditional and contemporary at the same time, with some very beautiful melodies.

Favourite tracks: “Stretch Your Eyes”, “Red Virgin Soil”, “It’s Happening Again”, “Stone”, “Mary”.

An intelligent alternative acoustic folky kind of feel with some nice strings and piano arrangements.
